Double Denim..

I love denim but I used to hate the thought of double denim. However, when two types of coloured denim are together, I think it looks really good.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation & Primer

I'm always buying new foundations because I think it's the most important part when applying make up for an overall airbrushed look. Firstly, this foundation claims that it is a matte result that lasts up to 24 hours, Clinically proven; waterproof and steamproof. All of the comfort, none of the shine. No cakey effect, and easy to apply.
I am never one to buy cheaper foundations because I have always used high end products as they worked better on my sensitive skin.
This blends like nothing before, its impossible to go wrong with this foundation (I used a beauty blender).
It dries to a semi matte silky finish that you don't really have to set with a powder, however I do still set with a powder. You can build the layers for more coverage and it wont look thick or cakey. The staying power is amazing, it lasts all day and beyond, staying as great as when you first apply and feels so light on your skin. It doesn't settle into fine lines either. It also doesn't break me out which is a huge bonus because I remember Estee Lauder Double Wear gave me severe acne, which was such a shame because the foundation itself is amazing.
The only negative with this foundation are the shades. They are so limited and only really for beige skin tones. They also aren't very dark and I found it really difficult to choose my colour. However you can mix them together for a perfect shade which is what I do. After the foundation dries it does settle in and match your skin very well, looking very natural but flawless.
The primer also works beautifully with the foundation.

Lace-Up Front Playsuit

I love the lace up trend at the moment and thought this playsuit was so lovely. I also love the small bell sleeve it has which intertwines with the 70's trend.

Charlotte Tilbury X Normal Parkinson - Miss Kensington Look (Limited Edition)

In this unique collaboration, Charlotte Tilbury has teamed up with the Norman Parkinson archive to create a make up and accessories collection, dedicated to and decorated with the British fashion photographer's iconic images.
The collection includes a new Filmstar Bronze & Glow - Suntan & Sunlight, Colour of Youth - Lip & Cheek Colour, Dreamy Glow Highlighter, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Miss Kensington & 1975 Red, as well as two new looks, Miss 1975 and Miss Kensington.
The Miss Kensington look includes Colour of Youth Lip & Cheek Colour, Dreamy Glow Highlighter, Full Fat lashes, Rock N' Kohl in Barbarella Brown, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Miss Kensington & Eyes to Mesmerise in Jean & Marie Antoinette
Firstly, the cream blusher is a hydrating and long lasting balm which can be out on the apples of your cheeks or lips. For the best look apply this with a finger and gently tap it using a circular motion.
The Dreamy Glow Highlighter is a very finely milled champagne highlighter described as 'peaches and cream' for the best look, lightly dust it on top of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and your cupids bow.
Matte Revolution Lipstick in Miss Kensington is my new favourite, it is a warm nude shade which looks extremely natural on your lips, even though it is matte, it doesn't dry out your lips and also lasts well throughout the day. It is designed to allow you to apply straight from the bullet, mimicking the shape of your lips for an easy application.
The cream shadows are without a doubt my favourite product of the collection (the lipstick & shadows are a permanent addition to her line)
They are a creamy mousse shadow which come in 5 different shades. For the Miss Kensington look, glide Marie Antoinette onto your lid and then work it into the crease. They last the whole day without creasing.

What's your favourite Charlotte Tilbury product?

Tropical Playsuit

Last summer Topshop had a playsuit very similar to this however it was very expensive and also it also didn't sit on me properly as it was like a skort. This one is from H&M.

Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze & Glow

After reading and watching many reviews on the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, I decided to get it myself.
It cost £49.99 which is incredibly expensive but in my opinion is totally worth the money.
Im not really one to contour and highlight as Im not the best at it and I find it can be a bit too time consuming, however this instantly changed my views on it.
The contouring powder is perfect for everyday contouring, a medium, neutral tawny brown with a subtle golden shimmer and sheer finish. The semi-sheer finish helps it look natural. Unlike some contour powders it is not too orange nor too grey. The texture is very smooth and can be easily blended.
I am a huge fan of highlighters, I love them and this is one of my favourites. It is a lovely champagne light beige with a warm undertone and is not too shimmery, which is a huge bonus. It hits the light in a natural way and looks incredible on top of cheekbones.
The package is so elegant and I think you get a ton of product for the price. I would recommended this to everyone even people who don't like to contour.

Favourite Drugstore Buys Under £10

Whenever I go into Boots or Superdrug I get extremely overwhelmed because there is just so much make up to choose from! I think sometimes, like high end make up, the products can be a bit hit & miss, however, these are my most recommended for those starting out with make up or anyone who doesn't necessarily want to spend a ridiculous amount on higher end products.

Firstly, one of my favourite mascaras that I constantly find myself using is Maybelline's Rocket volume mascara. I find that this gives length as well as volume and the plastic bristled brush stops your eyelashes from looking clumpy.
Another huge recommendation of mine is Maybelline's Cream Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow. I have the colours And On Bronze and Pink Gold. They are highly pigmented and literally last all day. They look good alone or mixed with other powdered shadows.
I love painting my nails and I have way too many nail polishes but I've always loved Barry M. I believe they are 3.99 and they last forever and don't dry out or go clumpy like some cheaper nail polishes can. I bought the colours In A Heart Beat, Eat My Dust and Get Set Go.
I've never really been one to use Soap & Glory, however, I love their Archery brow pen & pencil. I tend to use the pen side as I find it's much more easier to apply. I use it every single day and it lasts forever. I used to use Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade, although I really went off it as it didn't look natural. I also love Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss, however recently they have just been sold out everywhere, so I went for the lip plump instead. It really tingles your lips but I wouldn't say it actually plumps them. However I really love the shades, I have the nude one and I wear it almost everyday.
I recently re-discovered my love for Max Factor's Creme Puff Blush, I have the shade 05 Lovely Pink. It's a gorgeous subtle pink with a hint of shimmer and has a very velvety feel, it also really reminds me of the MAC Mineralised blushes so I think it's a really good cheaper alternative. I sometimes like to pair this with Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in the shade 021 Sun Light. I'm not really a pale person but I like to warm up my cheeks a little, just to give a natural matte warmth. It has no shimmer and is totally build-able, yet fairly pigmented. You only need a light swirl to get a nice colour so a little goes a long way, it also maintains well throughout the day which is a huge bonus!

May Favourites

May is quickly coming to an end, so here are a few products I've been loving throughout the month!

Firstly I have been obsessed with Two Faced's Chocolate Bar, the colours are so gorgeous and are quite warm toned. There are several shimmer shades and several matte shades. The pigmentation is also really good and manages to last all day with a good primer!
I have also been loving the Hoola bronzer by benefit, I've had this for a while now and use it everyday, so it lasts really well. I use it as a transition shade for my contour. It's a really versatile bronze so it works with any skin tone.
I recently decided to try the YSL Fusion Ink foundation as I heard many people go one about how much they love it and I can honestly say it's the most incredible foundation! It has a velvet matte finish which lasts all day and keeps shine at bay. However it is quite a light coverage so I like to mix it in with Nars Sheer Glow or Bobbi Brown Even Finish Foundation for a more medium coverage. I would also only recommend it for the more oily skin types as I can imagine it is quite drying.
In March I went on a college trip to New York which was an amazing experience and I luckily got to do a lot of shopping! I went to Sephora and picked up the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume. It is a really sweet floral scent and I have to say it is my favourite perfume ever. It has lasted me fairly well, however it is ridiculously over priced for something so small I payed $165 for a 90ml bottle.
I have also been loving the MAC mineralised blush in Dainty. I apply this to this apples of my cheeks with a blush brush and it's the first blush I've ever really liked. It's a really subtle peachy pink and creates a really healthy glow!
Finally I've been loving the Body Shops' Wonderblur primer, it really decreases the appearance of pores. I mix this with a mattifying primer to keep my make up from sliding off.

London Fashion Week & Milan Fashion Week: Best Looks

With fashion month coming to a close, here are my favourite AW looks from London & Milan

London

Burberry Prorsum

Burberry's AW15 collection "Patchwork, Pattern & Prints"- did what it said on the tin, start to finish with dresses, capes & ponchos. Paisley patchworks & florals in colourful suedes also made an appearance. The accessories defiantly had a bohemian feel to them, whether they were the fringed details which were mirrored on the ponchos or animal prints.

Topshop Unique

Topshop is one of my favourite places to shop, so of course I had to watch their live stream of the fashion show. Coats were defiantly a focus in this fashion show, this included faux fur of every texture & colour. Corduroy with velvet also made an appearance (picture number 3) in a light blue skirt suit.

Milan

Giorgio Armani closed out Milan fashion week this year. He showed a collection of beautiful cool grey and blue toned suits and separates. Coloured furs topped shantung (heavy fabric that is often made with silk fibres or synthetic fibres) tux pants and beaded halters. The final series of strapless dresses were all ruffles and beautiful embroidery.

Versace

Versace injected some hot colours and energy into the collection, including red, yellow and green mixed with blacks. Waists were defined and high, shoulders bare or sharp and pants were tight or cropped and flared. The finale was a series of beautiful dresses and monotone party dresses that were young.
