Drugstore Make Up!

I recently decided that I wanted to mix up my make up collection and try different brands to the usual Bobbi brown and Benefit, so I went to Boots and picked up a few things! :)

 

I love all these products I got, although my favourite has to be the Revlon Rose Glow Shimmer, it highlights and gives a really pretty rosey glow, which looks super pretty in winter! Recently I've also been needing a new brow pencil, so I thought I would try Soap and Glory's Archery pencil as it has been highly recommended and I can honestly say its the best brow product I have used, it's so easy to put on which is great for me as I am rubbish with all that sort of stuff! Another product which I am super happy about is Benefits they're Real push up eyeliner! I must be the worst person with eyeliner and I found this so easy to put on and it just hugs your eye lashes which is a really flattering look. 

September Favourites!

During this month there have been a lot of products I've been absolutely loving!

As you can see, this month i have been loving Benefit and Bobbi Brown! They are both my all time favourite make up brands and i will always love them, however this month there have been a few i have been reaching for the most. 

Firstly I have been obsessing over the NAKED3 pallet. I absolutely adore this pallet and use it almost every day, I love how there is a lovely mixture between simmer and matte colours. I know most people prefer 1 & 2, but 3 is my favourite! 

For mascara i usually use the Benefit They're Real! mascara, but I decided I needed a change and went for the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. They came in a pack of two, the little white one is a primer and the other is the mascara. I love this mascara so much because it gives my eye lashes so much volume without making them clumpy! Sometimes I will then go over them with They're Real! For my eyebrows I use the Benefit Brow Kit, I am obsessed with it and have used it for years, (yes, its lasted 2 years!) 

On days when I feel like wearing less make up, I always go for the Benefit Big Easy BB cream, it is honestly a life saver. It feels so weightless and the best thing is that you don't need any powder on to help it set! Then when I have a heavier make up look, I always use the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation, this is my all time favourite foundation, it gives you an air brushed finish and actually lasts all day! (it also smells good which is a bonus) To then set my foundation I like to use the Bobbi Brown Soft Sand Powder in number 5, it's so weightless and you can never tell that you have it on, which is good if you like the dewey effect like me. To give my face some colour I always use the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Power in Natural 1. This is a matte bronzer and just gives my skin an extra bit of colour in the summer months. Sometimes I also like to put on a bit of blush. This month my absolute favourite is the Benefit Hervana blush, it has a slight shimmer to it and gives your cheeks the perfect peachy/pink tint. 

Skin Care Routine

My skin was horrible for so long, in fact ever since i became a teenager and growing up in Hong Kong with the humidity only made it worse and caused me to break out on numerous occasions. So after we moved back to England, my mum decided to take me for a facial one saturday and they suggested for me to start using Elemis, (which may be pricey, but so worth it) and from then on my skin improved an incredible amount! 

First of all, I wash my face with the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash, which leaves my skin feeling so smooth. I will then spray on some Soothing Apricot Toner which closes the pores. Then i use the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Serum, this will get rid of any scars I've had. After I've done this I then move onto moisturising my skin, this is a vital part! I use the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This puts moisture into my skin and stops it from ageing and going dry, even though i have oily skin (which causes breakouts) washing my face twice a day can leave it dry. Finally I use the Creme De La Mer eye cream, which just helps get rid of my dark circles.
